Today was spent at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, an extraordinary institution built on oil money that wasn’t spent on a 16 year old grandson’s ear.

The collection of European masters (and not quite masters) is vast but it’s really the Richard Meier buildings and the garden and the cool little tram that takes you up the hill that took us there…
