Kain Lucas is a
product designer from Melbourne. He studied Furniture Design at Victoria
University and later went on to complete Building Design at RMIT. After working
abroad Lucas returned home and established Ute Australian Design (now Arko Design) in 2007. Aware
of the increasing recognition Australian design was receiving he noticed the
gap existing between designers and Australian manufacturers and built his
business specialising in the production of Australian designed furniture and
accessories for the home.  He has
exhibited furniture in Melbourne and Sydney and been shortlisted in both the
IDEA and Bombay Sapphire Design Awards.
