Alvar Aalto (1898-1976) born in Kuortane, Finland is one of the greats of architecture and design thanks to his original style and unique talents.He designed concert halls, schools, hospitals, museums, libraries and private homes in many different parts of the world. His furniture, lamps and accessories often started out as components of the buildings he designed.
