Product Availability

In general, if a product is on this website then we have it in stock. We endeavour to update the site on at least a 24 hour cycle.

However, on occasion a product may sell out during the 24 hour period during which your order was placed and may be temporarily unavailable. In this situation we will contact you to let you know when the item will be available (in most cases within 1-2 weeks). If the delay is too long for you we will cancel the order.

Gift Wrapping

If you’d like your purchase gift wrapped simply choose from the wrapping options at the checkout. You can choose individual base colours for each gift and we’ll finish it with a patterned belly band. Once you’ve chosen a wrap you can add a message for the recipient and we’ll write that on a simple Make gift tag.

Gift Registries

Many of our customers ask us about gift registries.

Whilst we don’t run a gift registry directly there’s a simple way you can build a registry and add any of our products along with anything else you can find on the internet.

We highly recommend Thankful Registry.

Special Orders

Should you wish to purchase a product manufactured by one of the brands we sell but can’t find it on this site please contact us; it’s possible that it’s simply a stocked item that’s currently out of stock.

However, whilst our range of products is extensive we don’t sell all the products of the brands we represent.

If the item you want is not a regular Make product we’ll be happy to quote you a price and lead time and source it for you should you choose to make the purchase.

Shipping

How much is shipping?

Shipping is a flat $14.95 fee regardless of how many items you’ve ordered or where in Australia they’re going. It costs us more than that but we’re pretty nice so…

How is my order shipped?

We use Australia Post’s eParcel courier service which is a fully trackable door to door service. If there’s no-one home a card will be left and your delivery will be held at the nearest local post office.

When will my order arrive?

Whilst we endeavour to get all orders out of our shipping room within 24 hours this can sometimes take slightly longer during peak periods such as Christmas. Once collected by eParcel major cities are generally 1-2 days (Perth is at least four days) with rural and regional areas taking a couple of days longer.

I’m outside Australia – can I buy from Make?

Yes you can however we’ll need to quote you postage options before you place your order as the flat rate shipping within Australia doesn’t apply. If you’d like to place an order for delivery outside Australia please email us at info@makedesignedobjects.com with a list of the items you’d like and the address you’d like them sent to and we’ll get back to you as fast as we can with a quote.

Can I track my delivery?

Upon dispatch you will receive tracking details so you can check on your delivery as it hurtles towards you.

What do I do if my parcel is damaged on arrival or the item is incorrect?

Whilst we endeavour to pack all goods safely and securely occasionally accidents happen. In the event of receiving a faulty or broken item, please contact us immediately to discuss its replacement by either phoning 03 9347 4225 or emailing info@makedesignedobjects.com

Phone Orders

Whilst this website allows you to buy online we understand that some of you prefer to deal directly with a person. With that in mind we’re more than happy to take phone orders up to $500.

Simply phone 03 9347 4225 with your credit card details and we’ll put your order through.

Returns & Exchanges

It is very important to us that our customers are satisfied with their purchases. If you are unhappy with an item you may return or exchange it within 14 calendar days of receipt. You must cover the cost of return shipping; Make Designed Objects will cover the cost of shipping the new item if you wish to exchange your purchase.

The returned product or products must be in new, unused, unmarked and pristine condition with all original packaging in unmarked condition. Before returning the item please notify Make Designed Objects by phone or email that you wish to return the item and advise us as to your new selection should you wish to replace the item.

Make Designed Objects will not accept the return of any item not in new, unused, unmarked and pristine condition. If you consider an item flawed or faulty upon delivery, please contact us immediately to discuss its return.

Please note that all refunds paid by card will only be refunded onto the original card used in the initial transaction. Additional identification may be required if returning over the counter.

Charities

Every year Make donates a number of items to local charities, schools and community groups.

Generally these products are then sold by these groups at fetes or used in raffles.
