It was the collaboration in the mid 1960s with world renowned Danish architect Arne Jacobsen that brought Stelton to the attention of the design world. The resulting series “Cylinda Line” won numerous awards and has become a classic of 20th century product design. In the 1970s Stelton began a 30 year association with designer Erik Magnussen that set the direction of the company and produced a broad range of products. In 2004 founder Peter Holmblad sold the company to Michael Ring. Ring trimmed back Stelton’s products and invited in new designers. The second decade of the new century saw the launch of Rig Tig – a lower priced everyday offering of functional, contemporary kitchenware.
